Frequency Notes

I stopped scrolling and got my nervous system back.

There was a time
when reaching for my phone and computer
felt automatic.

A few minutes here.
A few minutes there.
Checking.
Refreshing.
Consuming.

Always one more post.
One more video.

One more opinion.
It seemed harmless.

After all,
I was not doing anything wrong.
I was learning.
Researching.
Keeping up.
Staying informed.

At least that is what I told myself.

But something else was happening.
My attention was becoming fragmented.
My thoughts felt noisier.
My body felt less settled.

There was a constant feeling
that I should be somewhere else.

Doing something else.
Knowing something else.
The nervous system
never seemed to fully land.

And then I stopped.

Not forever.
Not perfectly.
Just enough
to notice the difference.

It did not feel uncomfortable. I am used to sit in silence.

But there were moments
when I reached for my phone
without even realizing it.

Habit had become automatic.
But underneath the habit,
something surprising appeared.

Space.
Space to think.
Space to feel.
Space to simply exist
without immediate distraction.

My thoughts slowed down.
My breath deepened.
My body softened.

The urgency began to fade.
Scrolling had convinced me
that everything was important.

Everything was breaking.

Everything required my attention.

Everything needed a reaction.

But most of it
had nothing to do with my actual life.

The nervous system loves simplicity.
It loves rhythm.
It loves presence.
It loves moments
where nothing is demanding
its immediate attention.

And when those moments returned,
something inside me returned too.

Not excitement.
Not motivation.
Something deeper.

A sense of myself.

The version of me
that existed before the endless stream
of information and stimulation.

The version that knew
that peace is not found
through consuming more.

It is found
through needing less.

I still use technology.

I still read.
I still learn.

But there is a difference now.

Life is the center of my attention.

And perhaps that is
what I was searching for all along.

Not another answer.

Not another video.

Not another opinion.

Just the feeling
of being fully here.

In my body.

In my life.

With my nervous system
finally settled enough
to hear myself again. Love to you all!
