Frequency Notes

When restlessness was trying to lead me somewhere.

5/10/2026

I will never forget the support I had from 1987 to 1994.

I worked as a bookkeeping assistant for an engineering company right in downtown Stockholm. Looking back, there was actually so much I loved about that time. The location. The energy of the city. My coworkers. The familiarity of the routine. It was safe, stable, and in many ways, good.
But the last three years… I felt like I was crawling out of my skin.

It’s strange how life can look perfectly fine from the outside while something inside of you quietly starts screaming for change.

I called my dad almost every day complaining about my situation. I honestly don’t know how he survived all my whining calls. The patience he had with me now feels almost unbelievable. Day after day, I would talk about feeling restless, trapped, uncertain, emotional, and frustrated. I didn’t even fully understand what I was searching for. I just knew something in me wanted out.

At the time, it felt like confusion.
Now I can see it differently.

I was waiting for the next chapter before it had revealed itself yet.

I had no idea that life was already moving underneath the surface. That eventually I would meet a Canadian. That love would pull me across the ocean. That I would end up in beautiful BC, building an entirely different life than the one I could imagine sitting in that office in Stockholm.

Sometimes I think about how hard we can be on ourselves during transition periods. We think we are failing because we are uncomfortable. But often, discomfort is just the soul preparing to move.
Back then, I only felt the restlessness.

Now I can see the becoming. And the endless support from my dad.

The innocence of searching for your purpose.

5/7/2026

There is something very innocent about searching for your purpose.

Not naive.
Not lost.
Just deeply human.

That quiet feeling of trying to figure out:
  • where you are supposed to be
  • what you are meant to create
  • what lights something alive inside of you
It comes from somewhere sincere.

A longing for resonance.
For meaning.
For a life that feels connected to who you really are.

I have always worked.
Always supported people.
Always counselled, listened, guided.
That part of my life was never absent.

There was meaning there already.
Structure.
Contribution.

And in many ways, that foundation was taken care of.
But somewhere underneath it all,
there was still a quieter search happening.

Not for another career exactly.
Something else.
Something more soulful.

A side path that felt alive in a different way.
Something that carried beauty, atmosphere, and feeling.

At first, I thought the goal was to find it.

The perfect expression.
The right idea.
The thing that would suddenly make everything click into place.

But over time, I began to realize:
the search itself was shaping me.

There is something sacred about wandering toward meaning.
About trying things.

Feeling drawn to certain textures, sounds, spaces, ideas.
Not because they are practical.
Not because they guarantee success.

But because something inside quietly says:
This feels like me.
And maybe that is the purpose too.

Not just arrival
but attraction.

The subtle pull toward what feeds your spirit.
For me, that began showing up in unexpected ways.
Sound.
Art.
Ritual.
Atmosphere.
Small things, perhaps.

But they carried a feeling I could not ignore.
A sense of returning to something softer, slower, more honest.

I used to think searching meant I had not found myself yet.
Now I see it differently.

Searching can be a form of listening.

Listening to:
  • what keeps returning
  • what creates energy instead of draining it
  • what makes time disappear
  • what feels meaningful even before it becomes successful

There is innocence in that.
A beautiful kind.

Because underneath the search is hope.
The hope that life can feel deeper.
More connected.
More alive.

And maybe we are not meant to solve purpose all at once.
Maybe we are meant to follow threads.
To stay curious.
To let ourselves evolve toward what feels real.

The strange thing is,
when I stop obsessing over ‘arriving’
I enjoy the journey more.

The experimenting.
The creating.
The becoming.

Because meaning is not always waiting at the finish line.

Sometimes it exists in the search itself.

In the moments when you follow something simply because it lights up your soul.

And perhaps that quiet instinct
that gentle pull toward what feels alive
has been guiding you all along.

The quiet courage.

We tend to imagine growth as something loud and dramatic.. big breakthroughs, emotional moments, major life changes. But the truth is, the strongest growth usually happens in the calm spaces we don’t pay much attention to.

It’s not the chaos that changes us.
It’s the stillness.

When life is noisy, we react on autopilot. We survive. We cope. But we don’t always grow. Growth needs room. Room to notice what’s happening inside us, room to hear our own thoughts, room to feel our feelings without being rushed.

Awareness is what transforms us.
Not the storm.

Think about the moments when you’ve genuinely shifted: when an old pattern finally made sense, when a boundary became clear, when you suddenly realized what you truly wanted. These insights rarely arrive when everything is loud and overwhelming. They sneak in during the quiet minutes, the walk, the shower, the moment before sleep, the breath before responding.

Calm is fertile ground.
 Awareness is the light.

When life softens, even for a moment, it’s an invitation. To notice. To reflect. To choose differently. To return to yourself.

Sometimes the most powerful transformation is the one no one sees happening. Not even you, until one day you feel different. Stronger. Clearer. More you.

The best version of you is often born in the quiet.

Living in the in-between.

7/5/2025

We all crave clarity and certainty to some extent. It's comforting to know where we stand in relationships, career paths, or even in how we see ourselves. But life doesn't always give us clean lines or easy answers. We find ourselves balanced between things: between what was and what's next, between feeling connected and feeling alone, between knowing and not knowing.

It can feel uncomfortable, even scary, to hang out in that in-between space. The temptation is to rush to certainty, to define things quickly so we can feel more in control. But sometimes, the most meaningful growth happens when we don't force a resolution.

What if you gave yourself permission to just be in that middle space?
To not have all the answers.
To not know exactly who you are becoming.
To not have a clear label for what you're feeling or what you want.
This isn't about giving up or being passive. It's about allowing mystery, stillness, and openness to be part of your life. You don't have to rush to belong or to be certain about everything. Sometimes solitude is a teacher. Sometimes mystery holds deeper truths than facts.

When we stop trying to tidy up the mess of the in-between, we start to notice its richness. There's beauty in waiting, in wondering, in not knowing. There's wisdom in the space where questions live.

So if you're in a season of transition, uncertainty, or transformation, know that you're not alone. And know that you don't need to rush to the other side. Stay awhile. Breathe. Trust the unfolding.
Let life surprise you...that’s where I like to hang out.

We are walking tuning forks: Why it's important to clear your energy.

3/23/2025

Have you ever walked into a room and instantly felt the mood, whether light, happy or heavy, tense? Or spent time with someone and left feeling drained, even though nothing "bad" happened? That's because we are all walking tuning forks, constantly picking up and resonating with each other's energy.

Think about how a tuning fork works. When struck, it vibrates at a specific frequency, and if another tuning fork is nearby, it starts vibrating at the same frequency. Humans do the same thing with energy. We tune in to the emotions, thoughts, and vibrations of people around us, sometimes without realizing it. Have you ever felt anxious after hanging out with someone stressed? That's you unconsciously matching their energy. Ever left a conversation feeling uplifted and lighter? That's you absorbing good vibes. We're always exchanging energy, but the problem is we don't just take it in. We sometimes hold onto it.

Your energy field/aura is like a sponge. It can soak up emotions, thoughts, and frequencies from others, especially if you're an empath or highly sensitive. Some signs that you're carrying energy that's not yours include feeling drained after socializing, experiencing random mood swings that don't feel like you, having a heavy or foggy mind even when life is good, and feeling off but not knowing why. If any of these sound familiar, it might be time to clear your energy.

Just like tuning forks can be reset, so can you. There are many ways to shake off energy that's not yours. Sound healing, like singing bowls, tuning forks, or sound baths, can help recalibrate your frequency. Spending time in nature, saging/smudging your space and body, walking barefoot, sitting by the ocean, or hugging a tree can clear heavy energy. Movement and breathwork, such as shaking your body, deep breathing, or dancing, can also reset your frequency. Water is another powerful cleanser. Taking a shower, soaking in a bath with Epsom salt, or even visualizing energy washing off you can help release what's stuck. It's also important to set energetic boundaries.

Before meeting people, mentally set the intention: "I will not take on energy that is not mine." This simple practice can make a huge difference in protecting your frequency. Just like you wouldn't let someone dump their trash in your living room, don't let people dump their energy into your aura. Be mindful of who and what you tune into.

Next time you feel a bit off, ask yourself: Does this belong to me? Is this mine?
If not, let it go. Re-tune yourself to your frequency and keep your vibe strong.

The power of toning: Unlocking energy flow in your body

3/17/2025

Have you ever felt stuck, tense, or like your energy just isn't flowing the way it should? Toning is a simple but very powerful practice that helps release blocked energy and restore balance to your body. It's an old technique that uses vocal sounds like humming, chanting, or deep vibrational tones to create a natural energy flow, boosting relaxation and inner harmony.

What is toning?
Toning is a way of using your voice to create sustained sounds without worrying about melody or lyrics. You don't have to worry about sounding great! And unlike singing, which often has structured notes, toning is about allowing your voice to express whatever feels natural. These sounds create vibrations that can help clear tension, improve focus, and deepen your connection to yourself. And you will have moments of awful sounds, but it's mainly clearing out stagnant energy from your throat.

How does it work?
Sound is energy, and when we use our voice in a focused way, we send healing vibrations through our body. These vibrations can:
  • Release tension by breaking up stuck emotional or physical energy.
  • Calm the nervous system, reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
  • Enhance breathing and circulation, helping oxygen move more freely through the body.
  • Balance emotions, creating a sense of grounding and stability.

Try it out!

Toning is very easy to practice; no special equipment or musical talent is required! Here's a simple way to get started:
  1. Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed.
  2. Take a few deep breaths to relax your body.
  3. Choose a sound. Common ones include "OM," "AH," or "EEE."
  4. Gently chant/sing the sound, allowing it to resonate through your body.
  5. Repeat for a few minutes, focusing on the vibrations and any feelings that show up.
You can do this for just a few minutes a day to start noticing shifts in your energy and well-being.

Toning isn't just about making sounds- it's about reconnecting with your body's natural rhythms. It lets you release stress, increase self-awareness, and tap into a deep sense of peace. Whether you use it as a daily practice or whenever you need a reset, toning is a simple yet effective way to bring more balance and flow into your life. It's another way of experiencing a sound bath, I guess!

Use your curiosity!

10/14/2024

Curiosity is the key that unlocks the magic in everyday life. When you approach the world with a curious mind, you open yourself to possibilities and experiences that might otherwise go unnoticed. Much like magic, curiosity invites wonder—it asks "What if?" and encourages exploration beyond the surface. It transforms the mundane into something extraordinary by pushing you to see things in a new light.

Think of curiosity as a spark that keeps your imagination alive. When you're curious, you start noticing details and connections you might have overlooked—how sunlight filters through the trees, how conversations shift unexpectedly, or the emotions hidden within a piece of art. Curiosity leads you down paths you never expected, like magic pulling a hidden trick from its sleeve.

Curiosity also encourages a sense of play and experimentation. It gives you permission to explore without the pressure of needing answers right away, which is where the magic lies—discovery for the sake of discovery. Whether you're learning a new skill, reading a book that challenges your views, or simply pausing to ask questions about the world around you, you create space for magic to emerge in the process.

And when you share your curiosity with others—through conversations, creative projects, or shared experiences—you magnify this magic. Just like storytelling, curiosity connects us by showing us different perspectives, inspiring new ideas, and helping us grow. Each time you engage with someone else's story, you're handed a new lens through which to see the world.

In essence, curiosity is about staying open to the unknown, embracing the possibility that magic exists not in perfect answers but in the journey of discovery itself. When curiosity becomes a habit, life transforms into an endless adventure, full of tiny moments of magic waiting to be uncovered. All you have to do is stay curious.

The healing power of gongs.

7/23/2024

Gongs have been used for centuries in various cultures for their powerful healing properties. The deep, resonant sounds of gongs can help relax the mind and body, creating a state of deep relaxation. When a person is deeply relaxed, their brain waves slow down, shifting from the beta state associated with normal waking consciousness to the alpha, theta, or even delta states, which are linked with relaxation, meditation, and healing. This transition in brain state can facilitate the body's natural healing processes, helping to reduce stress, improve sleep, and promote overall well-being.

A key element in the effectiveness of gong healing is the presence of a skilled facilitator. A kind and empathetic facilitator can create a safe and trusting environment, essential for participants to fully relax and open up to the healing process. The facilitator guides the session, intuitively playing the gongs to produce the most beneficial sounds for the participants. Their empathy and understanding help to establish a connection with the participants, making them feel comfortable and supported throughout the session.

The relationship of trust and safety between the facilitator and the participants is crucial to the success of gong healing. When participants feel safe, they are more likely to let go of their tensions and allow the healing sounds to penetrate deeply. This trust allows them to fully immerse themselves in the experience, facilitating a deeper relaxation and transformation. As a result, the participants can experience profound shifts in their mental and physical well-being, unlocking their body's natural ability to heal itself.

By combining the ancient practice of gong healing with the empathetic guidance of a skilled facilitator, individuals can experience a powerful transformation that promotes healing, relaxation, and overall well-being.

Nature.

There's something magical about connecting with nature—the ocean, the sun, the trees. For me, it's like having a constant conversation, a silent dialogue that flows effortlessly every time I step outside. Whether going for a walk or just driving by, Mother Nature's presence is always there, filling me with a sense of peace and harmony.

The ocean speaks to my soul in ways I can't quite explain. The sound of waves crashing against the shore, the beings underneath it all, living their lives – it's as if the ocean is whispering secrets of the universe, inviting me to dive deeper into its mysteries.

Then there's the sun, a beacon of warmth and light that never fails to uplift my spirits – it's like nature's way of reminding me that beauty can be found even in the simplest of moments. And let's not forget the trees, standing tall and steadfast, rooted in the earth yet reaching for the sky. With every rustle of leaves and sway of branches, they beckon me to slow down, breathe deeply, and find solace in their silent strength.

Together, these elements form a sacred bond, a connection that transcends words and fills me with a deep sense of belonging. In the embrace of nature, I find myself whole, restored, and at peace.

Uniquely you.

When you start seeing people as energy, it changes how you see the world. It's like peeling back layers of reality to reveal the life force that drives us all. Suddenly, interactions feel deeper, connections stronger, and empathy more natural.

We're all on this journey called life, each with our own hopes and struggles. But when you see people as energy, you realize we're all just trying to figure things out in this world. Every one of us adds our own energy, exactly like the glass pieces in a giant mosaic.

This way of thinking reminds us that despite our differences, we're all the same deep down. We all feel joy, sadness, love, and fear. And when we see this shared humanity, it's easier to be kind and understanding to one another.

So, next time you meet someone, take a moment to appreciate the energy they bring. Recognize their journey and show them some kindness. After all, we're all in this together, navigating life's ups and downs as best we can.

Another morning routine.

1/29/2024

Imagine waking up to a morning that feels like a warm hug for your soul. It's not just any morning; it's a sacred and serene start to your day. You can start your day with a meditation.

1. Morning Meditation:
Begin your day by finding a quiet and comfortable spot. It could be a cozy corner with a soft cushion or your favourite chair. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing the outside world to disappear. As you settle into the stillness, imagine a soft, warm light surrounding you, creating a cocoon of tranquility.

With each breath, let go of any tension or thoughts lingering from the night before. Visualize a serene landscape – a peaceful forest, a calm beach, or a quiet meadow. Feel the softness of nature embracing you. Allow the warmth of the morning sunlight to wash over you, filling you with a sense of calm and renewal. Spend a few moments in this serene space, letting the energy of the morning meditation envelop you in a gentle embrace.

2. A Cup of Soulful Coffee/Tea:
After your meditation, transition into the ritual of making a cup of soulful coffee or tea. If tea: choose a blend that resonates with you – perhaps a calming chamomile, a grounding green tea, or a soothing herbal infusion. As you prepare your tea, be mindful of each step – the sound of boiling water, the fragrance of the leaves, the warmth of the cup in your hands.

Find a cozy nook to enjoy your tea, wrapping yourself in a soft blanket. With each sip, savor the flavors and let them awaken your senses. As the tea makes you feel warm and comfortable, make it feel the same for your mind. The calming smell of the tea create a sanctuary for your mind, inviting you to let go of any worries or stress. This simple act becomes a moment of mindfulness, a gentle reminder to appreciate the present and the simple joys of the morning.

These two spiritual rituals create a rhythmic and soft beginning to your day. They invite you to start with intention, embracing the morning's tranquility. As you carry the purpose of these rituals with you, may your day unfold with grace and serenity.

Intuitive connections.

1/27/2024

Have you ever noticed that you can quickly tell when you vibe with someone? It's like an unspoken connection that you feel deep down. This ability to sense energies is fascinating. Sometimes, these connections become like familiar tunes that stick around for a long time. Other times, they're just brief encounters or moments, like a passing nod in the grand scheme.

Navigating through these energies is like dancing. It involves tuning into those vibes that people and situations give off. Trusting this intuitive dance allows us to form genuine and harmonious connections.

Those connections become permanent parts of our lives – the ones that defy the challenges of time and circumstances. They're like the relationships that add depth and shared hobbies intertwined with shared experiences and a mutual understanding that goes beyond brief moments. And then, of course, some connections come into our lives briefly, bringing a momentary spark or a valuable lesson.

Welcoming this intuitive dance with vibes also brings a playful side. There's joy in recognizing energies that align with ours and lightness in understanding that not every connection needs to be a forever thing. It's the playfulness of energies crossing and parting ways, each having its own chord in our journey.

In this frequency, our ability to sense and connect intuitively adds a layer of richness to our human experience. Trusting that quick intuition, embracing the dance of vibes, and appreciating both the lasting connections and the passing moments make our journey more vibrant.

Morning intentions.

1/23/2024

Creating an intention in the morning is a beautiful practice to set a positive tone for your day. Here's a simple guide to help you generate morning intentions:

Wake Up Mindfully:
  • Begin by waking up a bit earlier than necessary to allow time for a mindful start.
  • Avoid reaching for your phone immediately; instead, connect with the present moment for a few moments.
Express Gratitude:
  • Reflect on things you're grateful for. This could include aspects of your life, relationships, or even the opportunity to begin a new day.
Center Yourself:
  • Find a quiet space where you can sit comfortably. Consider incorporating deep breaths or a short meditation to center yourself.
Set Positive Affirmations:
  • State positive affirmations that align with your goals and values. For example, "I am capable," "I am at peace," or "I approach challenges with calmness."
Visualize Your Day:
  • Envision your day unfolding positively. Picture yourself accomplishing tasks, handling challenges gracefully, and interacting positively with others.
Define Your Focus:
  • Identify a specific intention for the day. It could be related to a personal or professional goal, maintaining a positive mindset, or practicing kindness.
Create a Mantra:
  • Develop a short mantra that encapsulates your intention. Repeat this mantra to yourself, strengthening your commitment to the positive energy you want to bring into your day.
Plan Mindful Actions:
  • Consider specific actions that will align with your intention. These could be small gestures, decisions, or reactions that support your overall goal.
Write it Down:
  • Jot down your intention or mantra in a journal. This creates a concrete reminder that you can revisit throughout the day.
Start Slowly:
  • If this is a new practice for you, start with a single, meaningful intention. As you become more comfortable, you can expand or modify your morning routine.
Remember, the key is to approach this practice with a sense of mindfulness and authenticity. Your morning intention can be a powerful tool for shaping your mindset and influencing your day positively.

The life of an artist.

1/5/2024

Creativity often blooms from a place of yearning, a feeling that something is missing in our everyday lives. Many creative individuals find themselves in this space, where they feel emptiness and struggle to connect with like-minded people. In response to this void, the creative spirit tends to stretch its wings and seek outlets for self-expression.

For those drawn to creative pursuits, the ordinary world might feel a bit confining. There's a desire to break free from the norm, connect with kindred spirits, and explore uncharted territories. This need to break away often leads creatives to carve out spaces where their imagination can run wild.

The sense of unfulfillment can manifest in different ways—feeling alone, struggling to find understanding, or failing to connect on a deeper level with those who share similar passions. It's within this void that creativity often takes root. Artists, writers, and dreamers—are drawn to spaces where they can let their creativity flow unrestricted.

In the vast landscape of the creative mind, the emptiness experienced in everyday life becomes a canvas waiting to be painted with vibrant shades of imagination. It's a journey of self-discovery, where creatives explore their own capabilities and unveil layers of expression that might have remained hidden in the ordinary.

The act of creation becomes a form of communication—a way for the artist to bridge the gap between their inner world of ideas and the external world that might not fully grasp them. Through art, writing, or other forms of expression, a community of like-minded individuals often emerges, providing a haven for the creative soul.

What was initially perceived as a challenge—the void in everyday life—transforms into inspiration and sometimes a feeling of cornucopia. It becomes the driving force behind the quest for more expansive self-expression. In filling this void, creatives deepen their connection with themselves and attract others who resonate with their unique perspective.

So, if you find yourself navigating the creative void and yearning for more profound self-expression, embrace it. Recognize it as the fertile ground where your creativity takes root and flourishes. In this realm of endless possibilities, you may discover the richness of your imagination and a community that celebrates and understands the beauty of your creative spirit.

It's like hitting reset on your spiritual energy, making room for positivity and light.

So, whether you're into meditation, yoga, or just looking for a quick soul refresh, give "OM" a try. Chant it, feel the vibrations, and let it guide you to a place of calm and spiritual awakening. It's a simple practice with some serious transformative potential.
