Did you know that different sounds can affect the body and mind differently?
For example, low-frequency sounds can promote relaxation, while high-frequency sounds can increase focus and energy. Sound healing can be used to shift from beta to theta waves, where healing takes place. When we are in a state of high stress or anxiety, our brains are in a highly active state known as beta brainwaves. Beta brainwaves are fast-moving and produce a lot of electrical activity in the cortex. This is why we feel scattered and unable to focus when we're stressed out. As we become more relaxed or deeply asleep, our brains move into slower, more rhythmic patterns called alpha waves (associated with deep relaxation) and then even slower patterns called theta waves (associated with deep sleep).
