We've all been there. You're sitting in front of a screen and just finished watching your favourite Netflix show for the fifth time. You're starting to get a little bored, but you feel too comfortable getting up and doing something else.
Your comfort zone is a drug: it's cheap, accessible, and good for you in moderation. But staying there too long will kill your spirit, dreams, and happiness, which is not okay. Here's how to deal with this problem: 1) Don't be afraid of change—you know things are in constant flux. And if you're going to be alive on this planet for any time, then change is inevitable, no matter how much we try to avoid it. So embrace it. The sooner we accept that life is constantly changing around us, the sooner we can stop being so afraid of it all the time. 2) Make yourself uncomfortable—it might seem counterintuitive at first glance, but trust it: if we make ourselves uncomfortable enough times, it eventually becomes easier. For example, if you're afraid of public speaking, try giving a speech in front of your friends or family. If you're scared of heights, try going on a roller coaster. If you're afraid of rejection, ask someone on a date! It's not about being fearless; it's about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.
