Detoxing your life is easier than you think.
You can detox from the clutter in your house, clutter in your mind, and clutter under your counter. It's just a matter of committing to do it—and then sticking with it. Decluttering and detoxing your life will have a huge positive impact in your life (as you already know, but now you have to take action). The first step is to eliminate all the stuff that isn't serving you or your family. This includes clothes that no longer fit, books that are outdated, and any other items that have fallen out of the use or have stopped being useful. You'll also want to get rid of broken or damaged—you don't need something that doesn't work anymore! Next, take stock of what's left over in your home and evaluate whether or not it's worth keeping around. If you can't remember when some of the items in your home were purchased or used last time they were seen (which could be many years ago!), then perhaps they should go into storage until you can find room for them somewhere else in your life. Making room for new things will help you to breathe easier. Just thinking about getting rid of some stuff takes my breath away!
