There is a reason why I am talking a lot about sound therapy. It has to do with alcohol and drinking. I've been drinking all my life, more or less. And, of course, more since the lockdowns happened. That glass of wine became my best friend, and I never thought I could ever give it up if I tried until now.
Recently, I've found an alternative to drinking that is better than drinking itself: sound therapy. I have tuning forks, crystal sound bowls and a gong that I use on myself and others. I am offering group sound therapy, one-on-one and mobile services. Sound therapy involves listening to certain types of music while you relax or meditate. The theory is that the vibrations in the music/sound help keep your brain calm and relaxed, ultimately leading to better sleep and more energy throughout the day. In my case, it helped me stop drinking. I have not touched alcohol for two months and plan to go without it for six months. I know it sounds boring and I miss my friend but long-term this is the best choice for me. It became a nuisance and I did not want to continue this friendship with alcohol. I had to replace the vino with a great cup of tea at night. It works! But I had to have tune-ups for this to happen. I started my sound therapy journey in 2013 when I purchased tuning forks and continued adding to my collection. I've been super focused on doing sound therapy for the last six months, which has changed my life.
