In our lives, we all have moments of delusion. It's part of being human—to want something so badly that we convince ourselves it's true.
But sometimes, these delusions can become like an addiction: we'll do anything to keep that feeling going, even if it's not good for us. We convince ourselves that our relationship is right for us when it isn't. Or we convince ourselves that our job is the perfect fit for us when it is truly a bad fit. And then we get stuck in that cycle and start to feel like something is wrong with us when things aren't going well, or we're not as happy as we thought we'd be. Don't let yourself get stuck in illusions: what's not right for you will not remain. You can't make an illusion work. You can only make it worse by attaching to a delusion that things will be different than they are. Don't convince yourself it's a right fit.
