When it comes to numbers, the Fibonacci sequence is like the best friend you never knew you needed.
When you look at a flower, a pine cone, or a snowflake, you can't help but notice how perfectly symmetrical they are. The leaves that make up the stem of a plant, form a spiral pattern—and if you look at that spiral closely enough, you'll see something incredible: it's made up of Fibonacci numbers! The same holds true for pine cones and snowflakes: their patterns are made up of these unique numbers. And even though we don't think about that when we're walking around in our daily lives, numbers like 1 and 2 are everywhere around us—and they're not just pretty shapes either! They could have practical applications, too: they can be used to predict stock market trends, understand population dynamics over time… even help us predict earthquakes! The sequence starts with 1, then adds up the two previous numbers to get the following number in the sequence: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13… The numbers don't repeat themselves until you get to infinity—but who knows how many times it will be repeated before then?
