Being present is a way of being that allows you to be in touch with your feelings, thoughts, and emotions. It is a state of mind where you are not distracted by external stimuli and, therefore, can focus on what's going on inside of yourself.
It can be helpful to take some time each day to meditate, reflect on your life, or even sit in silence—whatever helps you connect with yourself and feel comfortable in your skin.
The most important thing is being present with yourself, being kind to yourself, and finding ways to heal from past experiences so that you can move forward confidently into whatever tomorrow brings.
