Karma and dharma are two very closely related concepts in Hinduism. Karma is the force that drives all things, from the actions we take to the consequences we reap. It's the idea that everything has a cause. And it's also the idea that everything affects everything else—we can never escape our actions or their consequences.
Dharma is a similar concept: it refers to a person's duty or purpose in life. The word "dharmic" is also used as a noun to refer to someone who follows their dharma: someone who lives according to their inner compass and does what they believe they were meant to do in this life. In short, karma is about cause and effect; dharma is about doing your best to live up to your potential.
