Sickness can manifest itself when you're under stress. The human mind is powerful. When operating at full capacity, your mind can do amazing things—like helping you achieve your goals, create new ideas, and solve problems. But when your mind isn't operating at its maximum capacity, it can cause many problems: stress, anxiety, depression, and much more.
We all know that stress is a killer and it can take many forms. Stress is a byproduct of fear and is the cause of all human suffering. Fear comes from our thoughts and not from what happens to us in reality. It's time to stop living in fear and start living with intentionality and purpose. The good news is that there are ways to improve your mental health and well-being. One way is learning to control your thoughts so they don't control you! There are many ways to reduce stress, including breathing techniques, meditation, prayer, yoga (pranayama), sound therapy (sound bath), exercise (yoga), writing (journaling), music therapy (listening), nature therapy (hiking), aromatherapy (essential oils), talking (confiding in someone who cares about you), laughing therapy (watching funny movies or comedy shows), journaling your thoughts & feelings (writing down what's bothering you), drawing pictures as an expression of how you feel inside (inner child art therapy). “People need to realize that their thoughts are more primary than their genes, because the environment, which is influenced by our thoughts, controls the genes.” -Bruce Lipton
