Sound therapy isn't a new concept—people have been using sound as medicine for millennia! Ancient cultures like the Greeks and Egyptians believed that certain sounds could ward off evil spirits and heal illness. The earliest known use of sound therapy was in ancient Greece, where people believed that playing music would help them get healthy. In fact, one Greek philosopher named Pythagoras thought that the world was made up entirely of numbers—and thus everything in it could be expressed by numbers: including musical notes!
